Down-on-luck Luciano Emanuel Veron was attempting to forcefully enter the residence in Llavallol, Argentina, when the iron bars compressed his chest.

Police officers and volunteer firefighters called to the scene on 30th June could only pronounce him dead from asphyxiation.

According to witnesses, after the 29-year-old crook had died, his family arrived on the scene and threatened the homeowner.

The homeowner reportedly felt so intimidated she had to remove her belongings and vacate the property.

A witness who chose to remain anonymous told local media: “Apparently, when he got stuck, the bars compressed his chest and he suffocated.

“They threatened her and said they would set fire to her house. So she took everything she could and left.”

According to the dead man’s family, Veron was left “hanging for three hours” with his body from the chest down outside the property.

They added: “They let him die, nobody helped him get down.”

His sister told local media: “He was hanging there from seven to 10 in the morning, and we were desperate and broke some things.

“But it was because of the desperation of seeing him hanging there. The police wouldn’t take him down.”

According to the family, Veron was addicted to drugs and had already done time for various robberies.

His mother told local media: “He was in jail, I curse the moment the judge let him out for good behaviour.

“I would have preferred him to stay in prison rather than end up like this. That cursed drug led him to this.”

She accused others of “letting him die, not helping him, and now he’s underground” and told the media to “stop spreading lies and ugly things” about her late son.

The grieving mum added: “He has a 10-year-old daughter, how do I explain this to my granddaughter?”
