This footage of happier times shows two 11-year-old twins who are digital influencers sharing memorable moments with their mother before she was brutally shot dead by their dad.
He then turned the gun on himself, making the children orphans.
Their 34-year-old mother, identified as Luana Caroline Verdi Lima, was shot and killed by their 36-year-old biological father, Victor dos Santos Lima Bezerra, who subsequently took his own life.
Bezerra had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, while Luana had a gunshot wound to the head.
This devastating incident took place in a residential condominium located in Sao Jose do Rio Preto municipality in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, on 1st November.
Bezerra, who worked as a commercial representative for an internet company, had taken the influencer twins to school and asked a family member to help bring the children, who have over 50,000 followers on social media, back from school, as he mentioned he would be busy at home.
However, when Bezerra did not respond to his father’s text messages and calls, his father went to the condominium where they lived to check on them.
Bezerra’s father, along with a locksmith and the condominium manager, allegedly found the couple’s bodies in the condo after finally getting into the condo at around 12 pm.
It was reported that the couple, whose relationship had lasted for almost 20 years, was in the process of getting a divorce, a decision that Bezerra did not support.
The case was registered femicide and suicide after the police found a firearm, reportedly a 38-calibre revolver, on the bed in the bedroom where Bezerra was found.
A forensic team has also sent the bodies of the deceased to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for a post-mortem.
According to the police, Bezerra’s father, unnamed but aged 61, said that his son had complained about the state of his marriage a few days before the incident.
