This is the terrifying moment an escaped bull rampages through crowds at a country star’s show leaving 13 injured as it sends fans flying through the air.
Singer Ana Castela – one of Brazil’s biggest country performers – was about to take the stage at the show in Avare, in the state of Sao Paulo, when the bull broke free from its handlers.
Horrifying video footage from the event on 10th December shows frightened fans being scattered like ninepins as the one-ton bull tears through the crowd.
Many are too closely packed together to get out of the way and the bull simply charged through them tossing people left and right.
Some are seen being crushed against fences. Local media reported that 13 were injured before expert handlers managed to control the raging bull.
Star Ana, 20, continued with her show after the injured were rushed to hospital and the bull was safely contained.
The drama began as cowboys were loading the bull into its trailer after a rodeo display before the singer’s show at the Municipal Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition.
A statement from the Avare city hall said: “The National Rodeo Confederation regrets the episode and clarifies that the animal escaped during the process of loading into the truck.
“Movable fences were used to isolate the bull. After the action of professionals, it was quickly returned to the handling space under the stage.”
Brazil’s National Rodeo Confederation claimed: “This was an atypical event.”
