This footage shows a biker racing down a motorway in a desperate bid to put some distance between her and a gang of thieves on two motorbikes trying to steal her green Kawasaki.
Despite her impressive driving, the crooks eventually managed to catch up with her and stole her bike at gunpoint, according to local media.
The footage reportedly shows the woman doing over 140 kph (87 mph) on her BRL 34,000 (GBP 5,500) bike.
The unnamed 48-year-old nurse defied traffic rules, weaving through vehicles, honking, and racing at breakneck speeds on the Castello Branco motorway, in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, on 10th December.
On her green Kawasaki sports motorcycle with its 300cc engine, the nurse reportedly only slowed down when one of the two masked thieves riding on a similar bike pointed a gun at her, shouting: “You’re going to die, you b*tch!”
The criminals then boxed her in and she pulled over, with them then making off with her bike.
They also took her cell phone, a backpack containing sneakers and boots, her bank cards, and her personal documents.
The nurse reported the incident to the police, leading to the apprehension of a 22-year-old suspect identified by the nurse as one of the robbers, according to reports.
The police had traced the suspect to his residence in the municipality of Barueri in Sao Paulo, using the licence plate number of a Honda bike that is believed to have been used by the crooks and which was found after they ditched it.
The investigation is ongoing.
