This is the moment a jailbird’s complicated love life is revealed as his wife and his lover both turn up to visit him at the same time.
The scrap, outside La Modelo prison in Barranquilla, Colombia, erupted after the women spotted each other waiting in the same queue to get in, on Sunday, 6th August.
Witnesses said that the lover and the wife, both unnamed, began to insult each other at the entrance to the penitentiary, according to local media.
Phone footage from the vicious brawl shows one woman pinning another down as she grabs a handful of her hair and pummels her face with her fist.
The fight is eventually broken up by other wives and loved ones standing in the queue and the women are pulled apart.
Local media said that the footage went viral on social media, with one netizen saying: “My thinking is that there is no need to get to that point, women, value yourselves, love each other, respect each other.
“Dialogue is very important.”
While another said: “These scenes are from a third-world town, I do not understand how these events occur that confirm that these people live in a very small world.”
And a third said: “Hey, what about those who say: ‘don’t get involved’? Really, everyone is getting more spoiled every day! Zero solidarity in this rotten society.”
