Officers from the Military Police of the State of Sao Paulo, collaborated with the ‘Joao Negrao’ Aviation Command to take the vital organ to its new owner.

Police said that their flying experts were called by the Transplant Centre to help in the crucial operation on Wednesday, 6th December.

They said in a statement obtained by Clipzilla: “Aguia 11 was called by the Transplant Center to offer support in the transport of this organ, which was collected at the Hospital das Clinicas of Unicamp, in Campinas, in the interior of Sao Paulo.

“The PMESP helicopter successfully completed the transport, ensuring the safe and agile delivery of the organ to the Instituto do Coracao [Incor] in Sao Paulo.”

In Brazil, the military police are in charge of prevention and the civil police oversee investigation. Both fall under the jurisdiction of Brazil’s 27 state governors.
