A stunning drug trafficker has been sent back to prison after she showed her tens of thousands of TikTok followers how she had decorated her ankle tag.
Convicted mum-of-two Camila Fogaca de Almeida had been released early from jail on condition that she wear the home detention device.
But a social media clip that racked up tens of thousands of views showing Camila decorating her tag with sick-on plastic gems had infuriated justice officials in Brazil.
She had captioned the video: “Let’s change things up a bit, anyone who likes it, comment below.”
But now, judges have ordered Camila back behind bars for apparently breaching the terms of her release.
Following a hearing on 1st August, Camila, who has two young children, was returned to Pirajui Penitentiary.
Sao Paulo state prosecutors had told the court that convicts under house arrest are banned from “removing, violating, modifying, damaging, or in any way altering the electronic monitoring device.”
Camila posted: “Unfortunately, the Public Prosecutor’s Office thought that my video should not have been released, and they ended up asking for my arrest again.
“I have nothing to do. It won’t be easy for me. Even though I’m suffering, I end up having fun. In the future, God will do what’s best for me.”
Camila’s videos have since been taken down from TikTok after prosecutors ordered their removal from the platform.
Now the heavily-tattooed drug runner is back in the same jail she left for her early release.
Her lawyer Laila Estefania Mendes says she plans to appeal the ruling.
She told local media: “At no point did she damage the device. She also did not intend to mock the Judiciary.
“It was a way to earn some income since she can’t work due to house arrest.
“What drew attention in her case was the number of views.”
Ankle tags only allow wearers to be within a few metres of their home at set times during the day.
Any breaches or attempts to tamper with the devices usually result in an instant return to prison.
Camila became a social media star with more than 94,000 followers after recording her life in Itai on home detention in TikTok clips.
Her posts clocked up millions of views as she showed herself dealing with her life with an ankle tag.
