A 24-year-old man had to undergo surgery after stuffing five mobile phones inside his anus.
The man, who has not been named, came to the hospital in the municipality of Governador Valadares in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais on Sunday, 10th December.
After he told medics about the five devices he had stuffed up his bum and then been unable to remove, he was taken to an urgent surgery, and the phones were successfully removed.
After the surgery, the man reportedly displayed agitated behaviour, refusing to say the reason why he had stuffed the phones inside the anus.
However, local media said that the reason may be because he intended to smuggle them into a prison.
The doctors then reported the unusual case to the police due to this suspicion.
However, the police did not arrest the man, nor did they seize the device, as his criminal intention could not be proved.
The mobile phones still had their security seals, and their identification numbers are unknown.
The man is recovering in hospital, according to local media.
Authorities are reportedly still investigating the case.
